The Unofficial Industrial Light and Magic Website
ILMfan is perhaps the oldest continually running website dedicated to Visual Effects, specifically George Lucas' company ILM.
Originally a static site (plus some Java and cgi) it was later transferred to the phpWebsite CMS before finally using a custom CMS. Besides creating a more integrated and easier to use site I had to cleanup and upload the previous content via Python scripting.
Since the site is in continual development I use a test setup as a testbed for CMS improvements and integration of new techniques and technologies.

MexBest: Best from the Fresh!
MexBest is an online portal for agricultural and food exporters in Mexico, developed by the CNA (National Agricultural Council), under the auspices of SAGARPA (Mexico's Dept. of Agriculture).
The site had to be developed from scratch in a record 2 months time, which also included uploading an old backup of businesses in Excel (exported to text and then imported via Python scripting to the database). The site had to provide several ways of searching companies for buyers around the world.

ANETIF (National Association of TIF Establishments)
ANETIF is a non-profit association for TIF (Federal Type Inspection) certified establishments, including slaughterhouses, meat processing and meat packing plants.
The site was one of the first clients that needed to use social networking to create bigger online presence (doubling their traffic) and better service to their members, which meant integrating many different services and technologies to meet their needs.
Besides developing the site, I also update it (news and events) along with their Twitter, Facebook and YouTube sites and do other minor updates and consulting work.

enTexcoco
enTexcoco.com is an online directory for all types of businesses in the Texcoco municipality just outside Mexico City.
Similar to the MexBest project, enTexcoco had to be developed in 2 months, and contains a database driven directory of local businesses with 2 levels of services (basic and premium) which included location maps, photo galleries and promotional coupons.
I also helped the client install to free systems to mange mailing lists and classifieds.

Foro Global Agroalimentario (Global Agri-Food Forum)
The Global Agri-Food Forum is one of the largest agricultural and food conferences in Mexico, organized by the CNA (National Agricultural Council).
While the site was not overly complex it had to be developed in a very short span of time. The custom CMS helped in providing the basic event information in a matter of weeks. I also provided outsourcing services in updating the event program, speaker bios and uploading conference materials.

Outsourcing and Consulting Services
ANETIF (National Association of TIF Establishments)
Currently I'm providing outsourcing services for ANETIF, including updating of their news and events sections on their website, updating their Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts, sending out their newsletter, monitoring web site usage via Google Analytics, email accounts creation, moving their sites to new registrar and hosting providers, and some minor consulting services.

Before creating their new site, I was the webmaster for the previous version while working for a consulting firm. After I developed the new incarnation, for about 2 years, I provided outsourcing services like updates to their site, translation services to English, minor upgrades and customization, specialized reports and consulting services for their other web sites.
